Davinci crop resize transform controls

add clip on edit page - by default inspector has Zoom X Y, position X Y, cropping, dynamic zoom

so can do a lot without needing effects - one thing can't do is rounded corners - needs Transform effect

 

(cropping - default is 0, max crop left is 1/4 of vid width eg for 1920 max left / max right is 1920/4 = 480

max top / max bottom is 1020 /4 =  270

max crop = nothing left to see

Resolve FX Transform has position X Y, Zoom, round corners

most trasnform effect options could be applied directly to the clip in inspector ie without an effect - (transform effect adds eg rounded corners) - I guess one benefit of transform effect is that it acan be applied to an adj clip which means this can be moved or applied to a different clip ie easier than copying keyframes from clip

eg can just drage adj clip to nrew positio in timeloine vs having to eidt keyframes

davinci fusion tiles

changed clip duratyion in edit page to 3 secs - not reflecting yet in fusion page ??

to duplicate the same clip 2 x 2 or 3 x 4 use, fusion transfrom node

but if you want to crop the source clip,  eg 3 rows x 1 column, it might be better to do this manually in edit page - 

because cropping / plus transform node in Fusion is not easy and might not be drag and drop reusable because what makes a good crop will depend on the source clip ie probably not trasferable to a different clip

source images can be any shape or number, only requirement is that the total height is more than screen size 1920 and for a smooth loop keyframes should be first and last

individual images are often matching size but this is not necessary

probably individual images should be either square of landscape - if they are porrait shape then will only fit c 1.5 images on th screen which slightly ruins the effect
